Meet the Dedicated UCCA Board of Directors in Southwest Florida
The UCCA Board of Directors in Southwest Florida plays a pivotal role in steering our beloved community toward a bright and engaging future. Comprised of nine passionate individuals, all property owners or residents of Upper Captiva Island, our Board embodies the spirit of dedicated service and island love.
Our Board, elected from the UCCA membership, embodies diverse backgrounds yet shares a common goal: enhancing life on the island. The nine-member Board determines the individuals who will hold certain positions.
With authority to set essential rules and regulations, conduct the organization’s business, and manage the association’s annual budget, the members’ efforts ensure that our island’s unique needs and values are always front and center. On the other hand, the Board doesn’t have the power to change or amend bylaws, as it requires votes from the association members.

More Information
Jeremy and Amy’s journey to North Captiva Island began 30 years ago when they first discovered the serene beauty of Southwest Florida’s barrier islands. Captivated by its charm during their initial visit over a decade ago, they quickly decided to make this place their future home, becoming property owners shortly after their first island experience. Before the impact of Hurricane Ian, they had just settled into their new abode at 601 Rum Road.
The couple, along with their two sons, aged 22 and 19, have created countless cherished memories on the island and eagerly anticipate making many more. With a vision set toward 2024, Amy and Jeremy are working towards transitioning North Captiva Island into their primary residence, embracing the unique island lifestyle fully.
